Consolation

Johnny was sobbing hysterically over the death of his little doggie. Mom and Dad were desperately trying to console the little boy. "You know, honey, it's not your fault that Rover died".

But Johnny  just kept on crying, even harder than before.

Dad said, "You know, Rover's probably up in heaven right now with God."

Johnny stopped crying immediately, sat up, wiped his eyes and said, "What would God want with a dead dog?"
